NOWI: Naawi-Oodena Workforce Initiative

Welcome to the Naawi-Oodena Workforce Initiative (NOWI)

The Naawi-Oodena Workforce Initiative (NOWI) is at the
forefront of creating meaningful employment opportunities which contribute to
the success of the Naawi-Oodena development in Winnipeg, MB.

Engagement and Objectives:

In 2022, the Treaty One Workforce Mobilization team engaged with Treaty One First Nation communities to introduce the NOWI project and highlight its objectives and goals. A key area of focus was to identify and leverage the skills of Treaty One First Nation members to secure employment opportunities during the construction phases at Naawi-Oodena.

Current Initiatives:

At this time, the NOWI team is actively determining the required workforce for the initial phases of construction at Naawi-Oodena. We are enthusiastically accepting resumes in anticipation of forthcoming opportunities with our General Contractors and Partners.

How to Apply:

If you are enthusiastic about being a part of the Naawi-Oodena Workforce Initiative (NOWI) and wish to apply, we invite you to follow these steps:

  1. Download the Application Form:
  2. Complete the Application Form:
    • Fill out the application form with accurate and detailed information, showcasing your skills and experience. This form is designed to help us understand how your qualifications align with the goals of NOWI.
  3. Attach a copy of your Resume:
  4. Submit Your Application/Resume:
    • You can submit your completed application form/Resume through one of the following methods:
      • Drop Off/Mail:
        • Deliver your completed form to our office at 103-1075 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0R8, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
      • Email:
        • Please send a 100% COMPLETE copy of your application form along with your resume and three (3) references. The form can be filled and saved on your computer or smart device, scanned, or photographed and submitted to NOWI@treaty1.ca. Please note that incomplete forms without a resume will not be added to the NOWI database.

Opportunities for Contractors:

As we progress with the development, NOWI will be selecting contractors in various specialties to contribute to the success of Naawi-Oodena. To express your interest to participate in the bidding process, please submit your contact information through the provided Google Form:
