TAKE NOTICE that a Ratification Vote shall be held in accordance with the Peguis First Nation Community Ratification Process in order to determine if Eligible Voters approve the Treaty One Joint Reserve Land Code for Peguis First Nation and and the Individual Agreement. The Land Code and Individual Agreement shall be approved if a majority of participating Eligible Voters vote to approve them.

Peguis First Nation is the largest First Nation community in Manitoba with a population of just over 10,000 members of Objiway and Cree descent.  The main community is located 190 km north of Winnipeg.

Peguis has a rich culture, strong traditions and a significant history within Canada and is named after Chief Peguis who led the Saultaux people from present day Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Manitoba in the late 1700’s.

Today, Peguis has strong leadership passionate about strengthening its economy with strategic investments in Peguis First Nation, around the Selkirk area and in Winnipeg at the 1075 Portage Avenue urban reserve, Assiniboia Downs etc.
