The Awards Gala will be an unforgettable evening celebrating the excellence and achievements of some of our most prestigious Treaty One community members. This year we award former Canadian Senator, Justice, and member of Peguis First Nation, the Honourable Murray Sinclair, along with former Assembly of First Nations/Assemblee des premieres Nations National Chief & former Sagkeeng First Nation Chief, Phil Fontaine. The evening will feature a special performance by Peguis First Nations' very own folk and country singer-songwriter, William Prince. Prince's remarkable talent has earned him numerous accolades, including the Western Canadian Music Award for Aboriginal Artist of the Year in 2016 and the Juno Award for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year for his debut album, "Earthly Days," in 2017. He's also been recognized with Canadian Folk Music Awards, SOCAN Songwriting Prize, and Juno nominations for his outstanding contributions to music.
