What to Expect Anishinaabe Days features a mix of cultural, artistic, and family-focused activities with something for all ages — from the heartbeat of the drum, to the energy of the marketplace, to honouring the living culture and traditions of the Anishinaabe people. Key Highlights Traditional Powwow A powerful expression of Anishinaabe culture and healing, bringing together dancers, singers, and community members to celebrate tradition through song and ceremony. Anishinaabe Idol Talent Show A crowd-favourite event showcasing the musical talent of Indigenous artists from across the region, providing a platform for performers to share their voices and stories in front of a supportive audience. Indigenous Artisan Market Featuring Indigenous artisans and entrepreneurs offering handcrafted goods such as beadwork, artwork, clothing, and other one-of-a-kind items — supporting Indigenous creativity and economic growth. Youth & Family Activities Interactive and educational activities for children and youth, including sports activations, games, and hands-on experiences designed to inspire the next generation. Food Trucks & Community Eats A diverse selection of food vendors offering traditional Indigenous cuisine alongside popular food-truck favourites throughout the weekend. Fireworks Celebration Saturday evening concludes with a fireworks display, bringing the community together to celebrate culture and connection.
