Shane Li brings a diverse background in finance, economic development, and entrepreneurship to his role as Chief Financial Officer for the Treaty One Nations. Prior to his current position, Shane served as President & CEO of Red Leaf Capital, where he strived to build a strong tech ecosystem and invest in visionary entrepreneurs. Founded in 2009, Red Leaf Capital is the first General Partner and Venture Capital Fund member of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association in Manitoba.

In addition to Red Leaf Capital, Shane also serves as the President of Innovate Eastman Business & Technology Incubator, an award-winning and federal-designated incubator, the Economic Development Advisor of the Municipality of Pinawa, and the Investment Advisor of Roseau River 1903 Trust with fund size over $85M. Furthermore, Shane is a board member of the University of Manitoba Board of Governors, Vice-Chair of the University of Manitoba Finance and Infrastructure Committee, a member of the Victoria Hospital Foundation Investment Committee, an Adjunct Professor at the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, Instructor at the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business, a member of the Manitoba Immigration Advisory Council, a member of Research Manitoba’s Review Committee, and a Mentor at Futurpreneur.

Shane is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a B. Comm. (Hons.) degree, an MBA in Finance, and a Master of Science in Management. He is a designated Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designations.
