Michelle Taylor

Hailing from the Long Plain First Nation with a background in finance and accounting, Michelle Taylor now works as a Finance Clerk for the Treaty One Development Corporation (T1DC). With a keen eye for detail, Michelle is responsible for overseeing financial data, ledger entries, and reports. Her dedication to excellence in her craft supports T1DC in building and developing better business practices.

Michelle earned her Business Administration diploma with a specialization in Financial Services from Red River College in 2020. She then began working as a Finance Assistant in 2021, eventually becoming the Finance Manager of an Indigenous educational institute for three years before joining T1DC in January 2024. Michelle is excited to contribute to the growth and development of Treaty One First Nations and Naawi-Oodena.

Michelle now looks forward to advancing her career and education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys attending ceremonies, beading, cooking, baking, and going fishing and camping with friends and family.
