As a Labour Force Strategist for the Treaty One Nations, Dennis McLeod serves as the team lead for the Naawi-Oodena Workforce Initiative (NOWI).
With his background as a manager, supervisor, and trades apprenticeship graduate, Dennis has a deep understanding of workforce development processes. He is committed to fostering strong relationships with communities, contractors, stakeholders, and partners. Dennis is passionate about creating partnerships that remove systemic barriers and ensure First Nation members have access to long-term employment opportunities.
Born in Cross Lake and raised in Wabowden, Manitoba, Dennis is a proud member of the Pimicikamak Cree Nation (Cross Lake Band of Indians). He is an active traditional resource user, engaging in hunting, fishing, and harvesting medicines. Dennis is married with three children and five grandchildren, and he enjoys traveling with his wife Lorraine to watch their grandkids compete in hockey tournaments.
