Construction Opportunity: Carpenters & Apprentice Carpenters
Calling all Treaty One Nation Members!
The Naawi-Oodena Workforce Initiative (NOWI) is sharing construction opportunities for Carpenters and Apprentice Carpenters connected to ongoing development in Winnipeg on Naawi-Oodena, including a new multi-unit apartment block build.
This opportunity is open to Treaty One members (Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, Long Plain First Nation, Peguis First Nation, Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation, Sagkeeng First Nation, Sandy Bay First Nation, and Swan Lake First Nation) who are interested in building their careers in the construction sector.
This is a chance to contribute to new housing on Naawi-Oodena and be part of an important early phase of Nation-led development on Treaty One land.
These positions are well-suited for Journeyperson Carpenters, Apprentice Carpenters, and individuals currently enrolled in the apprenticeship pathway. Candidates with Red Seal certification or those working toward it are encouraged to apply.
NOWI helps support workforce participation at Naawi-Oodena by sharing construction opportunities and connecting Treaty One members with hiring employers and contractors as the development continues to advance.
