Education & Training

Ryan is a seasoned professional with nearly a decade of experience in environmental analysis and strategic consultation across Manitoba and Ontario. He holds honours degrees from both the University of Winnipeg (B.Sc) and the University of Manitoba (MBA), and has previously worked with organizations such as the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) to develop solutions to complex environmental challenges.

As a land use planner, Ryan specializes in developing sustainable and economically beneficial policies that honour and empower First Nation values and traditions. He is the founder and chair of the Treaty One Sustainability Committee.

In his free time, Ryan volunteers as a consultant and helps to bring innovative technologies to remote First Nation communities in Northern Manitoba. He is a lifelong learner who loves to spend time with his family on the land and enjoys following his favourite sports, and also volunteers at the Scandinavian Cultural Centre of Winnipeg.
